Core Responsibilities
The Director delivers impact by taking a broader ownership of both own and others deliveries. The Director does this through program manager actions and by supporting Technical Project managers (TPMs) in their work while also ensuring development of these TPMs. This includes:
- Leadership of TPMs and/or Technical Operation (TechOps) Specialists.
- Leading implementation of large and/or complex initiatives across products within infrastructure domain or across domains.
- Setting direction for TechOps and enables mature and modern infrastructure assets management.
- Bringing people together in meaningful ways that make goals and collaboration around contributing easier.
- Coordinates and continuously optimizes a project/program portfolio with transparency.
- Contribution to the development of TPM-practice through own behavior and by actively engaging in the TPM community.

Be part of the leadership team in Digital Technology – Infrastructure area, providing secure, scalable, and modern cloud & infrastructure services for our digital workforce.
Within Infrastructure, the Director will be leading a team of TPMs and TechOps working closely with senior leadership including Lead Engineers, product teams, agile coaches, and user experience researchers. As the sub-domain is growing this role will be a leader of leaders formally and informally. Further encouraged to be able to deliver impact through a distributed and global organization.
This position will act as Competency lead in a strategic partner role providing valuable sparring to our subdomain senior leaders orchestrating their central initiatives.
Our strategic programs portfolio span from Cloud Strategy implementation, fueling an API based architecture or removal of technical dept. We have several exciting programs running, with global and strategic impact, helping the LEGO Group differentiate our digital consumer experience.
This position is based at our brand-new Billund Campus office. The work environment is exciting, inspiring, flexible, and we like to have fun along the way!
Do you have what it takes?
The ideal candidate is hard-working and will need to have a solid experience within technical program management preferable in an agile setup and demonstrated ability in a similar leadership role. Added to that, great manager skills with an inclusive approach and inclination to active decision-making.
Demonstrable ability to successful lead large tech programs or projects, through roles in program management, project management, product ownership or similar in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding and preferable experience in leading supporting and enabling teams within, License, Software and Assets. Financial and budgeting knowledge and preferable procurement and contract handling skills. Knowledge of application lifecycle management, software development methodology, technical architecture, and engineering practices. Strong validated background with agile methodologies, always seeking to deliver continuously and avoiding the big bang.
To succeed in this role, you preferably have competence within the following:
- Degree in relevant IT, engineering, program management or business field.
- Preferably with experience with IT infrastructure, IT network or cloud technologies.
- Bias to action, takes initiative, recognizes, and acts on opportunities.
- Dynamic and structured personality, not afraid to challenge authorities to achieve the best possible outcome.
Advanced English both written and verbally are needed since we are an international gathered team.
