THE OPPORTUNITY
The Education Support Officer is a generalist position reporting to the Education Support Specialist. The role is responsible for a range of activities which support learners and enhance the student learning experience and educative processes. You will provide support to a diverse range of learners, ensuring that student outcomes are at the forefront of your decision making. The Education Support Officer role has an attractive pay rate of $50.98 per hour casual.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications as determined by the employer and a commitment to maintain technical currency - Certificate III level or above vocational qualification
  • Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive and show initiative and ability to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to provide quality customer service as part of a broader team
  • Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies
