Available now, a part-time coordinator position @ 24 to 32 hours per week that requires a hands-on approach and the ability to take on a diverse range of tasks.
This is a unique and exciting position located on campus at EIT, within a highly collaborative and evolving rangahau and research environment.
The Rangahau and Research Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the administration related to the activities of the research programmes within Te Kura I Awarua (The Rangahau Research Centre), including budgeting and financial reporting, managing grants (with the PIs), and assisting with the submission of new grants. Promoting the values of Te Kura I Awarua, you will support the success of the Centre and its projects by maintaining effective working relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including key Iwi/Hapu and any other organisational partners. Identifying appropriate communication opportunities is an important aspect of the role including workshop/conference event management.
Key tasks will
Responsibility for the successful management of Te Kura i Awarua and the RIC working with the Executive Dean, Research Fellows and Research Professors
Budget management, financial management and reporting (internally and externally)
Managing the operational aspects of research contracts (and related documentation) for Te Kura i Awarua. Provide ongoing support to projects leads and their research teams
Establish and manage the Te Kura I Awarua working environments (dashboards, contracts, databases, research ethics, research instruments etc)
Management of communications for Te Kura i Awarua
Day to day management of any Te Kura I Awarua operational staff (contracts, holiday leave/ sick leave etc).
It is desirable that the successful candidate will have an appreciation of Tikanga and Te Reo Mori and possess aDegree or management qualification.
In addition, experience in research, managing people and resources and in the development and management of key community relationships are important requirements for this role.
