Job Description

[Key Areas of Responsibilities]

1. Successful pre-sales solution design consulting to offer strong solution & service architect for each customer’s environment

  • Provides leadership in the selling effort to accurately estimate services & solutions offerings in the market. Solutions can be comprised of Philips products, systems, software along with one or more 3rd party products, implementation services, maintenance services and other value-added offerings.
  • Assesses client’s business, clinical and technical needs, business goals, performance, and strategies as they pertain to our solution offerings
  • Execute on complex data-driven problem solving to address client’s operational, clinical, and business needs
  • Applies domain expertise to the sales process concerning solutions & services and the level of effort in an engagement to assure customer success and positive business results
  • Utilizes Philips standard methodologies to accomplish business goals
  • Differentiates required tactical services from value-add solutions when proposing solutions to clients
  • Prepares content and presents the Solution and Services capability of the Philips offering to prospective clients at all levels within the client organization (CxO, MD, Clinician, IT)
  • Independently, or as a member of a selling team, scopes implementation, integration and consulting services through an accurate task analysis and work effort estimate
  • Recommends additional services to add value to the customer’s solution offering along with the associated rationale and benefit.
  • Assures that complete Statement of Work documents are available, accurate and associated quote meets Philips business standards related to financial transparency.
  • Seeks and obtains approvals for proposals according to the established authorization matrix. Assures financial transparency in projected deal margin.
  • Identifies engagement risk and initiates a mitigation plan for the client’s proposed solution, including a risk assessment of 3rd party components and companies following a standard methodology. Works with the BIU/BG to mitigate solution (product, system, software, service) risks that may be uncovered so that assurances can be given to the customer for a complete and valid outcome for the solution.
  • Collaborate with sales representative to describe, defend, and justify recommended levels of services.
  • Facilitates between different SME (subject matter experts) and sales to come to a strong solution & services architecture (with optimal efforts). Reach out to procurement experts with regards 3rd party product (solution, contracting), when required.

2. Successful delivery and implementation support for designed solution

  • Accurately assesses the level of effort to be provided by the client’s organization and thoroughly describes the work in the SOW. Gains client commitment to perform such services in the delivery phase of the engagement.
  • Works with the delivery team(s) to transition from the Proposal phase to the delivery phase.
  • Collaborate with Services in the Market delivery organization on capacity planning based on a qualified funnel.
  • Facilitate the introduction of the Solution Project Manager in selected accounts to assure tight teamwork between Solution Architect and Project Manager during handover to delivery (and beyond).
  • Consult with Solution project managers, when needed, on the Request for Change and Change Disposition process. Validates original premises for the solution should change orders become a source of contention between Philips and the customer.
  • Scoping, designing, building, deploying and/or integrating solutions
  • Fulfilling hardware implementation deliverables such as detailed design documentation, system build, configuration, and testing
  • Analyzing the unique business, technical and clinical customer requirements to design, build and/or integrate the most appropriate solution
  • Based on customer requirements, serving as a consultant to provide technical recommendations that best suit the environment
  • Mentoring and training customers to maintain their systems
  • Resolving technical issues and offer proactive technical support
  • Documentation of solutions to ensure support teams and other consultants can participate in support and onward development
  • Practicing strong configuration management and version control
  • Being a key member of the implementation project and/or support team; fostering collaboration through sharing experiences, information, perspectives, skills, and expertise
  • Driving continuous improvements of our implementation methodology and service offerings based on customer feedback

[Qualifications & Desired Characteristics]

  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Proven experience as a key technical resource leading the installation of solutions in customer environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and consult around all key technical decisions during project delivery or system updates.
  • Experience working in a team environment to achieve desired results.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, VMWare, Networking, AD, SSL, IT Troubleshooting, Windows Workstation, Enterprise and Local File Storage Systems, System Backups, High Resolution Image Acquisition, and Image Quality Analysis
  • Preferably have Knowledge in system integration/installation and pathology workflow integration, including the communication standards used in the industry (XML, HL7, DICOM.
