Our client is looking for a Stock Controller, to carry out inventory procedures within an operation or as allocated in line with the company's Stock Control procedures and customer inventory requirements. Ensure all reports are managed and maintained and Stock accuracy levels are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Standard Operating Procedures relating to the management and control of inventory are known, understood and followed. action and driving the required actions
- Carry out inventory related investigations and queries needing resolution and drive the required actions
- Ensure that stock is accounted for at all times and that claims and damages are managed and kept to a minimum
- Capturing the movement of stock, including purchases, sales, returns, and adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records of the quantity and value of stock on hand
- Monitor stock levels and initiate orders when necessary with procurement
- Conduct spot checks on zone locations to ensure zone accuracy
- Ensure that physical stock and stock on hand aligns in terms of product, location and quantity Measure obsolete stock as well slow moving stock
- Capturing in-coming inventory Local and international
- Ensure that the costing information is correctly uploaded during the GRV process
- Ensure counts are carried out as per the required frequency and that all variances are investigated and resolved timeously
- Ensure cycle counts are carried out daily as required to maintain high stock accuracy levels with minimal losses
- Report on cycle count results and ensure that any discrepancies are resolved timeously
- Ensure stock take preparations are carried out correctly prior to all stock takes and ensure that the respective inventory records are in place and managed
- Post Variances after every counts
- Ensure that daily, weekly and monthly stock reports are completed and provided to the relevant management
- Ensure that inventory KPI is maintained and reported
- Investigate inventory KPI failures
- Investigate stock variances and assist in provision of resolution
- Analyse reports with the aim of identifying solutions for improvement and or resolution of problem areas
