Purpose of the position


The Learning and Development Manager will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning and development initiatives to enhance the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of our employees. This role requires a strategic mindset, leadership abilities, and a passion for driving continuous learning and growth within the organization

Main tasks and responsibilities


  • Together with key stakeholders develop Hiab Academy as Hiabs approach to learning and development. Based on capability and business needs define pillars and governance to ensure Hiabs future capabilities.
  • Develop and Execute Learning Strategies: Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify learning needs, create learning strategies, and implement programs that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Learning Technology and content providers: Stay up-to-date with learning technology trends and tools, leveraging them to enhance the delivery and accessibility of training content.
  • Design and Deliver selected Training Programs: support key stakeholders in creating and delivering engaging training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules that cater to diverse learning styles and meet the specific needs of different employee groups.
  • Talent Development: Implement talent development initiatives, including mentoring programs, leadership development, and career pathing, to support employee growth and retention.
  • Assess Training Needs: Coordinate training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities, and then develop plans together with business to address those needs.
  • Performance Management: Work closely with the HR team to integrate learning and development initiatives into the performance management process, ensuring alignment with performance goals and providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Measure and Evaluate Effectiveness: Develop and implement evaluation methods to measure the impact and effectiveness of learning and development programs. Analyze feedback, metrics, and data to continually improve the quality and relevance of training initiatives.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external training vendors, consultants, and subject matter experts to leverage their expertise and resources when required.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to training and development initiatives.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage the learning and development budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve maximum return on investment.

What you’ll need to succeed


Education:


  • Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Experience:


  • Proven experience as a Learning and Development Manager or similar role, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Strong knowledge of learning and development methodologies, adult learning principles, and instructional design techniques.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, plan, and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering training programs, both in-person and virtually.
  • Proficient in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to collect and interpret data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Familiarity with talent development strategies, performance management, and leadership development.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to fostering a continuous learning culture within the organization.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and organizational dynamics.
  • Experience from working in HR or in a more business driven role
  • Experience in global companies
  • Experience from driving change in global organisations.

Competencies:

  • Good skills in Google tools (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
