We are currently working with our UK head-quartered client to recruit for an open position as an Accounts Assistant in their Cape Town office.
The client is an anti-money laundering (AML) compliance technology provider. Their products, trusted by the world’s leading data providers, transform AML and trade compliance from mandatory duty to competitive edge. They use deep industry knowledge and cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning to help businesses detect suspicious behaviors and fight financial crime.
The company are looking to hire an ambitious and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to support the Finance team and grow within our fast paced and exciting company. This person will be integral to the team, willing to take on responsibility of day-to-day management of the purchase ledger and bank reconciliations as well as assisting with month-end reporting across the global group of entities.
As the Company enters its next phase of growth, we expect this role to evolve too, providing exposure across the broader finance function.
A hybrid working arrangement of 3 days in office (Century City, 2 days working from home) would be available for this role.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Preferably at least 3 years’ experience working in an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field an advantage
· NetSuite experience an advantage
· Intermediate Excel skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Reconcile multi-currency bank accounts across global group of companies
· Match supplier invoices to purchase orders, reconcile supplier statements, prepare and process payments
· Prepare supporting schedules for key suppliers
· Prepare month end supporting analysis
· Assist with preparation of tax returns globally
· Assist with preparation of year-end statutory accounts including exposure to the audit process
· Other ad hoc tasks and reporting as may be requested

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: R16,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month
