The Pancake Parlour is a Melbourne based, family-owned business that has been operating since 1965. A company stacked with development opportunities; we are currently seeking new casual Team Members to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, food items, and snacks to customers.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in the food service industry and possess excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills. In addition, the ideal candidate should be able to work independently and with a team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation for all areas of the restaurant.
The primary responsibilities of a Barista/Bar Attendant include:
- Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, food items, and snacks to customers based on their order.
- Receive payment, operate POS systems, and make accurate change.
- Keep the bar area clean and organized according to health standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain effective communication with other members of the team
- Work as part of a team to accomplish daily tasks.
Requirements:
- At least one year of experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of coffee and tea preparation methods.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Must be available to work flexible shifts.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
