Description
The Resident Engineer is the direct technical link between our customers and the Bosch organization, acting as an extended arm (and part) of our R&D and customer organization – onsite the OEM facilities.
Summary of responsibilities and tasks:
The activities where the Resident Engineer is involved are defined within below mentioned main activities:
- Support of new vehicle projects onsite with Bosch AS products from innovation-, development- to launch phase - and also in the field
- Support or leads cross functional team during launch phase (worldwide)
- First Level support onsite the customer facilities
- Liaison with OEM engineering team as a representative of Bosch AS
- Acts as a technical expert and interface between OEM and Bosch AS onsite the OEM
- Provide on-going support for vehicle programs in production
- Organization and support of Q-actions in customer plants and in workshops (Field)
- Support and advise of related OEM in regards of Bosch AS products
- Identifies customer requirements/demands and collects competitor information
- Support in parametrization, tuning and optimization of steering functionalities in vehicles onsite the OEM facilities
- Ensuring that program timing plans and content of OEM and Bosch are aligned
- Hand-over of tasks after successful launch to SQW-organization
Gathering of data and support or lead cross functional teams for problem solving
- Degree in an Engineering discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience in automotive manufacturing environment.
- Experience with VDA customers
- Superior written and oral communication skills to independently prepare and deliver presentations for internal and external audiences, including all levels inside the organization.
- Strong team facilitation skills and the ability to motivate teams and individuals not in a direct line of control to advance on improvement projects.
- Ability to interface with the organization to solve problems.
- Ability to lead root cause analysis through the required tools for an effective detection of countermeasures.
- Advanced level of english language for written and verbal communication with internal and external customer
- Well organized and structured mindset to handle complex situations.
- Experience on teardown analysis, mechanical and software management
