Role Purpose: To enhance the visual storytelling and documentation of the organization's educational programs and initiatives. By capturing high-quality, authentic images and effectively managing the digital media archive, this role aims to create compelling visual content that showcases the organization's impact and successes. The consultant will work to ensure the delivery of visually engaging and platform-specific content that supports the organization's mission and objectives across various channels, including print, web, events, and social media.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect, tag, organize, and share digital media assets (photos, graphics, publications, project files)
- Support in the organization/streamlining of the digital media archive
- Planning and executing in-house photography sessions, including Directors and other key staff
- Take still photos of staff, event photography at educational events
- Photo selection and responding to imminent photo requests for print, web, events, and social media
- Led/Commissioning photographers to document programs visits and achievement initiatives for content gathering trips.
- Maintenance of photography equipment and accessories.
- Basic photo editing (for use in print, web, events, and social media)
- Support staff and others with the use of photography equipment
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in photography, visual content creation, and digital asset management, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Photography, Visual Arts, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in digital photography, photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom), and other relevant tools.
- Experience in photography and video production.
- Experience in using sophisticated tools related to photos production and cameras.
- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite for image editing and video/audio editing software (Illustrator, Prem Pro/After Effects)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An eye for detail with focus on continuous improvement
- Strong passion for creativity by finding and chasing interesting and engaging stories
- Strong drive to improve quality, productivity and efficiency for the department.
- A good and effective team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
