Technical Project Lead Workplace

Who are we?

We are Global Workplace Services at ING and we deliver Workplace services for ING colleagues worldwide. We ensure that our colleagues can work simple and safely with any device, wherever they are at home, in the office, or in another country. Specifically, we provide laptops, (virtual) desktops, mobile, and fixed telephony, video conferencing, software (e.g. Outlook, SharePoint, Windows, and Office). WPS has standardized on SaaS (cloud) services.

Our Workplace IT-services are standardized and adopted by 60K users globally. The workplace solutions are based on public cloud services with an as small as possible on-premise footprint.

To support us in leading the larger projects for the remainder of 2023 we are looking for a Technical Project Lead Workplace: for example, to onboard additional countries (a.o. Luxembourg and Australia) onto our services, to migrate the remaining on-prem environment into the ING Private Cloud, to migrate to Windows 11, to implement DEX governance, etc

What will you do?

  • You supervise the implementations of solutions - in accordance with the agreed design and the timelines.
  • You build strong and continuous relationships with the main stakeholders and steer your projects in such a way that that maximum customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • You lead technical discussions with clients that drive decisions and implementations.
  • You deliver accurate and concise progress reports as well as risk- and issue reports.

Your profile

Mandatory Technical & Functional expertise

  • Fluent English
  • Strong technical background in IT workplace
  • Strong verbal and written communication and teambuilding skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Stakeholder management on all the levels within the organization of ING, work together with them to achieve your set goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical topics to various audiences.
  • Used to work with Agile teams

Preferred Technical & Functional expertise

  • Able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision
  • Manage and prioritize tasks and time efficiently
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of ITIL disciplines
  • Experience Agile development teams, CI/CD Development/Pipeline
  • You have worked in highly regulated environments (e.g., financial institutions).
