Operations Specialist [Australia]


 The Role:
Reporting to the Release Manager, the Operations Specialist will be the technical lead of a continuous improvement program of work to enable positive change in eHealth Queensland's workstation management service provision through the high level technical direction, support and advice.

Further duties include:

  • Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with other staff across the service chain to ensure the alignment and integration of operational services, processes and service levels.
  • Provide high level technical skills in the analysis of IT system issues and the formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and improvements for our complex environment
  • Contribute to the re-design of workstation management related services and supporting processes within Queensland Health, using knowledge of ITIL framework (particularly request, incident, problem and change management).

To be successful for the role you will have proven ability to participate in a highly skilled technical team providing high-level technical direction, standardisation and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focused organisation. You will have demonstrated skills in the analysis of IT system issues as well as formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and improvements, along with strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Furthermore, you will have a high level understanding and working knowledge of relevant technical domains:

  • Windows 10
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
  • Directory Services (Microsoft Active Directory and Novell eDirectory)
  • Active Directory Group Policy administration and configuration
  • Application packaging (MSI, application virtualisation, scripting technologies)
  • Enterprise printing solutions (Novell iPrint)
